- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Salem is very fortunate to have Dr. Davidson. However privacy laws are not respected by the staff when they very easily could be; flagrant HIPAA violations occur. One patient was addressed in detail for a long time in the waiting room about her symptoms and her chart notes while others were in the room, which continued after a comment by another patient was made about the lack of privacy. The staff just asked, "Do you know this lady?" When the answer was no, the staff then said, "Well, then," and continued violating the patient's privacy. That is not the HIPAA standard. Clinics can lose their clearance for government payments when they violate HIPAA which would be a shame as the doctor seems hardworking and compassionate.January 27, 2017by o oo
